In this final tip of this series I thought I’d look at planning. To be successful with marketing you have to be consistent in tone, brand and most importantly timing, so it has to work for you. If you love it you’ll probably be posting 2 or 3 times a day, if you hate it you’ll plan to do it regularly but it gets relegated to the bottom of the priority pile especially when you’re busy, we’ve all been there. But social media loves regularity and so do your followers, if you’ve managed to engage them they may be looking forward to your little ray of sunshine in their day so don’t let them down! Make it suit you, if you really can only do it once a month, fine do it but stick to it. Maybe you can gather notes, photos etc in the lead up to it so your material is there waiting and the task is a lot easier, make it easy for yourself whatever it takes. I like to sit down and jot down ideas for a series and most of the content in one go then I fill out the details as I come to them. Finally make sure you do it across a few platforms and if you get responses, engage, don’t be half hearted, commit and you’ll see the rewards.
